From a small grassroots initiative to a trusted development organisation, every milestone has shaped who we are today.

1996
CERDS is Founded

CERDS was established with a powerful vision to empower rural communities across Andhra Pradesh, registered under the Indian Societies Registration Act XXI of 1860.

1. Education
  • Support of basic educational needs to tribal / challenged / HIV and needy children
  • Support to school infrastructure
  • Support poor children to meet their study fee and primary needs i.e., laptop, study material etc
  • Conducting School Health Programs

2. Agriculture
  • Support poor farmers to have irrigation bore / open wells
  • Support poor farmers to have water saving and storage structures
  • Support farmers to grow horticulture crops
  • Support to promote organic, IPM and IDM practices in agriculture
  • Distribution of tarpaulin sheets to poor farmers to protect and dry their agri-products
  • Conduct exposure visits for farmers on best agri-practices

  • Promotion of household sanitary toilets to needy families
  • Tree plantation
  • Distribution of tree guards
  • Support to water conservation structures

4. Skill Training
  • Conducting of Skill oriented Training Programmes to un-employed youth
  • Distribution of Sewing Machines to women
  • Job placement with local / non local Institutions

  • Nutrition cum Dry food provisions distribution to needy people ( HIV/ Aids, Old age, Special people, tribal families and sanitation workers)
  • Promotion of household sanitary toilets for having disabled / old age and HIV/Aids infected people
  • Conducting Medical and Health camps.
  • Support to emergency needs.
  • Awareness Generation Campaigns on Health, Hygiene and Environmental Practices
  • Wheel Chairs/Try-Cycles for special persons

  • Installation of drinking water drilled bore wells
  • Installation of Reverse Osmosis plants
  • Awareness Generation Campaigns on Usage of Water Sources
  • Training Camps to Community Administrators on Water Management and Conservation Practices

  • Fishing nets support to tribal fishermen families
  • Livestock support to widow/ disadvantaged woman

  • Support food provisions victims in drought / floods / fire accidents.
  • Distribution of tarpaulin sheets to protect huts during floods / cyclones
